We're Hiring!

Join Our Team

At the Texas Institute for Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies (CBTTexas™), we are always looking to bring on exceptional clinicians who share our passion for providing evidence-based, compassionate, and life-changing care.

Why Work With Us

  • Particularly competitive fee splits. We think your expertise deserves to be rewarded, not taken advantage of.
  • A genuinely warm, easygoing culture. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves.
  • Ongoing consultation, mentorship, and training— stay sharp with supportive and mostly normal colleagues that thoroughly enjoy nerding out about good psychology.
  • Flexible scheduling that fits your life. Whether that means fully virtual, hybrid, part-time, full-time, and whatever size caseload you want- it's your life, not ours!
  • A trusted referral network and reputation for excellence. We have a steady stream of referrals from interested clients and community providers who value evidence-based care.
  • Room to grow at your pace. Keep it part-time or expand when you’re ready.

A Particularly Good Fit If You Are

  • A clinician in academic medicine seeking a part-time private-practice home with a small, well-supported, private-pay caseload to complement your full-time role.
  • Working in higher levels of care (IOP/PHP/Residential/Inpatient) and wanting to supplement your income with a small, private-pay, outpatient caseload in your areas of clinical interest.

Therapists

Therapists (PsyD, PhD, LPA, LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
We welcome clinicians who are passionate about evidence-based practice and enjoy blending clinical rigor with warmth and flexibility. Whether you thrive in structured CBT protocols, value the art of therapeutic rapport, or want to deepen your expertise in specialty approaches, CBTTexas™ offers the kind of environment where science and compassion meet.

Postdoctoral Fellows & Advanced Externs
CBTTexas™ is an excellent training ground for clinicians who want to learn the “gold-standard” treatments while also developing their professional identity in a warm, supportive setting. Fellows and trainees can expect mentorship, hands-on consultation, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists.

Clinical Interests We Value

  • Ages: Children, Teens, and Adults
Our team treats patients across the lifespan, and we especially value clinicians who bring nuance to working with families, adolescents, or complex adult presentations
  • Diagnoses: OCD, Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Depression, Personality Disorders, Disorders of Overcontrol, Disorders of Undercontrol, Women’s Health

We’re a strong fit for providers who are energized by treating complex and comorbid cases. If you love untangling OCD when it overlaps with eating disorders, addressing overcontrolled perfectionism in high-achieving teens, or supporting women through reproductive and hormonal transitions, you’ll feel right at home.

  • Modalities: CBT, ERP, SPACE, RO DBT, FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, PE, CPT, Schema Therapy
  • We value clinicians trained in, or motivated to learn these leading evidence-based approaches.
  • Clinicians with a strong interest in building a DBT program and those who specialize in ACT.

Interdisciplinary Team Members: Nutrition & Medical

Psychiatrists (General and Child & Adolescent): Whether primarily focused on medication management or blending therapy and pharmacology, psychiatrists play a central role in our coordinated care model. We value providers who appreciate collaboration and see medication as one part of holistic recovery.

Other Physicians (Internists, Pediatricians, Adolescent Medicine Specialists): Clinicians with expertise in eating-disorder medical care who can provide thoughtful oversight of safety, medical stability, and physical health in an outpatient setting. Ideal for those balancing academic medicine or HLOC work while seeking a small, meaningful outpatient caseload.

Registered Dietitians (Eating-Disorder Specialists): RDs who practice from an FBT-informed framework, are comfortable with exposure-based nutrition interventions, and enjoy working as true teammates with therapists and physicians. Your role is pivotal in helping patients normalize eating, face feared foods, and translate treatment goals into daily routines.

Clinical Interests We Value

  • Medical oversight in outpatient recovery: monitoring vitals, labs, and overall stability while supporting therapy-first progress.
  • Nutrition interventions that align with therapy goals: collaborative work to reduce avoidance, expand variety, and restore weight where needed.
  • Team-based care: open communication, shared treatment planning, and willingness to problem-solve complex cases together.
  • Specialty knowledge in adolescent and adult ED care: including amenorrhea, bone health, metabolic complications, malnutrition, and weight restoration.
